Mono guide

Analytics

Understand download activity across shows and episodes.

What Mono measures

Mono analytics are based on eligible media requests. The show analytics page summarizes activity across its episodes, while an episode analytics page limits the result to one release.

Headline values include downloads and estimated listeners. Daily activity shows how those totals are distributed across the selected date range.

Choose a date range

Use the range control to request a start and end date. Compare equivalent ranges when judging releases: a 30-day window naturally contains more opportunity for activity than a 7-day window.

Dates use UTC boundaries in the analytics API. Very recent requests may not appear until aggregation finishes.

Understand filtering

Raw web traffic is not the same as a podcast download. Mono can exclude known bots, repeated requests, incomplete delivery, and other traffic that does not qualify under the download rules. This is why server-request totals and analytics totals may differ.

Empty and changing results

An empty chart means there is no eligible aggregated activity in that range; it is not automatically an error. Recent totals may settle as events are processed and classified. If an older range that previously had data becomes empty, retry once and contact support with the show, range, and approximate time.
