Creating a show

Set up the identity, artwork, and defaults for a new show.

Create the show record

From the account dashboard, choose New show. Enter the public title listeners should see. Mono creates the show as a private working record; creating it does not automatically publish episodes or submit it to directories.

Complete show settings

Open Settings and provide the information used by the public site and RSS feed:

  • Title, author, and description identify the podcast and explain its subject.
  • Language and category help directories classify it.
  • Show type and content rating tell clients how episodes are organized and whether explicit material may appear.
  • Copyright and owner contact provide feed ownership information.

Use an owner email that you actively monitor. Podcast directories may use it when verifying feed ownership.

Add artwork

Upload square show artwork with a clear title or recognizable image. Wait for the upload to complete before saving or leaving the page. The show overview displays the saved artwork and provides a reset action if it must be replaced.

Artwork is reused as the default for episodes that do not have their own image.

Review public output

Use the public-site and RSS actions on the show page to inspect what listeners and podcast clients receive. Correct missing or inaccurate details in settings, then recheck both outputs before submitting the feed to directories.
