Mono guide

RSS and distribution

Use your Mono RSS feed across podcast listening apps.

Understand the feed

Every active show has a stable public RSS URL. Podcast directories periodically request this XML document to discover show metadata, artwork, and published episodes. Draft and future scheduled episodes are excluded.

The RSS URL is intended for podcast clients, while the public show URL is intended for people browsing the web. Find the website address in Settings → Hosted podcast site, where you can open it or select Copy website URL. A reachable site also has a Website button on the show overview. See Podcast sites and custom domains for themes and preview.

Check it before submission

Open the RSS action from the show overview. Confirm that the feed loads successfully and contains the correct show title and published episodes. Also play at least one enclosure URL to verify the media path.

Fix show or episode metadata in the account editor rather than editing the XML.

Submit to directories

Copy the same RSS URL into each directory you want to support. Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other services have separate accounts, validation rules, and review times. Mono hosts the feed but cannot approve or accelerate a directory submission.

Preserve the URL

Avoid changing a feed URL after distribution. If migrating from another host, configure the old host’s podcast redirect and keep it active. A normal web-page redirect is not always sufficient; follow the previous provider’s podcast-migration instructions.

Directories cache feeds, so a correction may not appear everywhere immediately. Check the Mono feed first, then allow the directory time to refresh.
