Mono guide
Podcast sites and custom domains
Choose a look for your podcast, preview it, and share its website.
Find your website
New shows and imported podcasts start with the hosted website enabled. An existing site that you disabled stays disabled. The website needs a saved podcast URL or an active, verified custom domain before listeners can reach it.
Open your show’s Settings, then Hosted podcast site. The saved website address appears there when it is reachable. Open the address to visit the site, or use Copy website URL to share it. The Website button on the show overview opens the same address.
The website displays your show identity, artwork, description, RSS feed, and live published episodes. Drafts and future scheduled episodes are not shown. A show with no live episodes displays an empty episode list.
Choose a theme
In Hosted podcast site, choose Editorial, After Hours, or Studio from the Theme selector, then select Save changes. Each theme changes the layout, typography, colors, artwork treatment, and episode presentation.
Preview before saving
Select Preview and edit theme in the website settings. The preview uses your own show and published episodes. Switch themes to see their appearance immediately, choose a home or episode page, and use the width controls to inspect mobile, tablet, or desktop layouts.
Unsaved theme choices are visible only in your account preview. Select Save theme to apply the choice. Public pages are cached, so a saved change may take a few minutes to appear. You can preview a disabled site, but saving its theme does not enable it.
Connect a custom domain
Custom domain controls are part of the website settings. Enter the hostname you control, such as podcast.example.com, without a protocol or path, then save your changes.
Add the DNS TXT record shown in the verification details at your DNS provider. Use Check now to request a check and review the reported domain status. Save a changed hostname before checking it.
Ownership verification and routing are separate requirements. The hostname must also route to Mono for the website to load. If you need help identifying the routing target, contact support before changing an existing website’s DNS.
Once a domain is active and verified, the displayed website address uses it in preference to the Mono address. Pending or unverified domains are not shown as live website links.
Disable or troubleshoot a site
Clear Enable hosted site and save to disable the public website. This control does not disable the show’s RSS feed.
If a site does not load, confirm that it is enabled and has a saved podcast URL or active verified domain. For DNS problems, check the exact hostname and TXT record, allow cached DNS answers to expire, then retry Check now. See Troubleshooting for other common checks.
