Mono guide

Publishing episodes

Create drafts, upload audio, and control episode publication.

Create a draft

Open a show and choose New episode. Add the title and description first. A draft remains private, which lets you edit its notes, numbering, artwork, and audio without changing the public RSS feed.

Use season and episode numbers only when they are meaningful for the show. Check the explicit-content setting for every release.

Upload episode audio

Choose the audio file and keep the page open until the upload reports completion. Uploading has three steps: Mono creates a secure upload, the browser sends the file to storage, and Mono confirms the completed asset.

If you cancel before completion, start a new upload. Do not publish until the editor shows that the audio asset is ready.

Optional episode artwork overrides the show artwork for that episode. Reset it to return to the show default.

Publish now

Choose the published status and save when the episode should become immediately public. Confirm the title, notes, audio, publication time, and content rating first. The episode then appears on the public site and in the RSS feed.

Schedule publication

Choose a future date and time to schedule an episode. Mono treats a future publication time as scheduled and keeps it out of public results until it becomes eligible. Reopen the editor to confirm the saved time and timezone interpretation.

To delay or withdraw an episode, change it back to a non-public state and save. Always verify the public show page and RSS feed after a publication change.
